Robert Lee "Bob" Schreier, 77, of Lacygne, Kansas, formerly of Independence, Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011, at Olathe Medical Center.

Bob was born September 3, 1933, in Higginsville, Missouri, to Earl and Rosina (Urban) Schreier. Mr. Schreier was an active and faithful member of Messiah Lutheran Church. He retired in 1990 from the Kansas City School District after 36 years of dedicated service as a Supervisor of Grounds Maintenance. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his daughter Karen Smith; sons Bobby Schreier and wife Wendy, Brian Schreier; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Roger Schreier.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Carson Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery.

Robert "Bob" Schreier, the son of Earl and Rosina Urban Schreier, was born September 3, 1933, at Higginsville, MO. He was baptized at Higginsville, MO, and confirmed on May 13, 1956, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Independence, MO, by the Rev. W.H. Schwab.

He was married to Mary Holliger on November 26, 1954. Bob leaves three children: Karen, Robert II and Brian.

He was called to his eternal home on February 20, 2011, at the age of 77 years, 5 months and 17 days. Services were held on February 23, 2011, conducted by Pastor Nicolaus.

He was laid to rest on February 23, 2011 at Mount Washington Cemetery, there to await the glorious resurrection.

Blessed are the dead, which die in the Lord!!
