Chico Record, Tuesday Morning, November 5, 1918, pg 5 col 3: Raymond Boydstun Dies of Influenza At Bay. Raymond A. Boydstun, member of a well-known pioneer family of northern Butte county, died Saturday morning at Glen Ellen of Spanish influenza. He was the youngest child of R.W. and Sophia Boydstun, and was born September 22, 1887, on his father’s ranch, seven miles south of Chico, near Dayton.
His father accompanied the remains to Chico yesterday. Funeral services will be held in Chico cemetery at 11 o’clock this morning, only members of the immediate family and relatives attending. Rev. Galen L. Rose will conduct the services at the grave.
Surviving are his father, five brothers, all living in San Francisco and Alameda, and two sisters, Miss Ethel Boydstun and Mrs. L. Van Vlack, of Chico.
