Miss Clara Margaret Finseth died Sunday, July 3, 1955 at St. Lucas hospital in Faribault. She was the daughter of the late Hon. Anders K. Finseth and Karen Haugen Finseth. She was born February 26, 1877, in Holden township baptized by the Rev. M. O. Bockman at Gol Lutheran church, and confirmed by the Rev. N. A. Quammen, the pastor of Valley Grove Lutheran church of Nerstrand. Miss Finseth graduated from Luther Academy in Albert Lea, after which she completed a two year music course in Minneapolis. For several years she was a teacher of piano in the Kenyon vicinity and other localities in the state. In later years she returned to the home of her parents to assist her aging mother, who died July 2, 1936. She continued as housekeeper and helper to her brothers, Arthur and Walter, until their marriage. She then established her home in the Holmen-Watson apartments in Kenyon where she spent her last twelve years. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. N. Boe of Sioux Falls, S. D., and Miss Amelia Finseth of Minneapolis; three brothers, Arthur K. and Walter of Kenyon, Carl H. of Hayfield; and ten nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran church in Kenyon July 6, at 2 p.m. Rev. B. M. Rogness, officiated, and the Rev. T. H. Rossing of Nerstrand also spoke. The pallbearers were Sigurd Bakko, George Gunderson, Bennie Neseth, Albert Quie, Jr., Arthur Quie and Willard Willie. Interment was in Little Cannon cemetery. Relatives and friends attended from Minneapolis, Edina, Faribault, Sioux Falls, S. D., Beloit, Wis., Red Wing, Calif., Northfield and Dennison.
