Died at Sea 27 December 1915.
Born North Cowton (near Darlington), Enlisted Darlington, Resided North Cowton.
He died on-board RMS Aquitania and was buried at sea. During WWI, the Aquitania was transformed firstly into an auxiliary cruiser and next into a troop transport and hospital ship, notably as part of the Dardanelles Campaign.
He is commemorated in South Cowton Churchyard on the headstone of his brother, Private Frederick Davison, who also served in the Yorkshire Regiment.
