Royalty. Queen of Germany, Bohemia and Hungary, and the Archduchess of Austria. Eleonor Magdalene of the Palatinate (Eleonore Magdalene Therese von Pfalz-Neuburg) was the daughter of Elector Philipp Wilhelm von Pfalz-Neuburg and his second wife Countess Elisabeth Amalia von Hessen-Darmstadt. Eleonor became the third spouse of Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I of Austria, whom she married in 1676. She was Queen of Bohemia and Hungary, German Queen, and Archduchess of Austria. Though considered to have suffered from depression, she engaged herself intensely in social matters. She bore 11 children of which two became emperors: Joseph I and Charles VI. (Bio by Frank Klawonn)
