He was born on January 28, 1918. He graduated from Eastern High School in Washington, D.C. He attended the United States Naval Academy and graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He retired to Mentone, AL from Ocean City, MD, where he was City Engineer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Congressman Miles Clayton and Willie Fox Allgood, of Mentone, AL.
He is survived by one brother, Dr. William David Allgood, of Fort Payne, AL; one sister, Mary Fox Boisseau, of Newport News, VA; four nephews and three nieces.
Burial will be in Valley Head Cemetery.
