We don't know much about Josephus, except that he was supposedly born in Studzienka, Poland in 1831 and was killed by a train in Lemont, IL in 1890, just one year after losing his wife to unknown causes.

Joseph's children were born in Rogozno (German: Rogasen), a town in Poland, located in Greater Poland Voivodeship, about 40 km north of Poznan. Its population is 11,337 (2010). It is the seat of the administrative district (gmina) called Gmina Rogozno. (Source: Wikipedia)
