Lieutenant Ramon Ornelas,55, of Pecos,TX, passed away June 10,2005 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX.
Funeral services were held June 13,2005 at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with burial following at Mount Evergreen Cemetery.
Lieutenant Ornelas was born March 17,1950 in Monahans. He was a lifetime resident of Pecos where he served as a police officer for the Pecos Police Department for 30 years.He was promoted to lieutenant from sergeant in April 1998. He had also served in the US Army.
Survivors include his wife Felipa of Pecos; six sons, Raymond,Jeremy,Jacob,Joseph,Jason,Michael Ornelas; one daughter, Crystal Ornelas; three brothers, Jose Angel Ornelas; Jimmy Ornelas,Antonio Ornelas; one sister, Manuela Armendariz; and two grandchildren.
