Mrs. Virginia Hyden Campbell, 70, of Va. 664, Lyndhurst, died at 5 a.m. Wednesday in University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville.
She was born in Augusta County, June 3, 1915, a daughter of the late Vogel and Florence East Hyden.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of Mountain View Mennonite Church.
Survivors include her husband, Chester C. Campbell; one son, Cleveland C. Campbell of Crozet; two sisters, Mrs. Helen H. Whitesell and Mrs. Pauline H. Rankin, both of Staunton; three brothers, Raymond Hyden of Waynesboro, Earl "Buddy" Hyden and Kenneth Hyden, both of Stuarts Draft; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Two brothers preceded her in death, Clyde Hyden in 1967 and Donald Hyden in 1983.
A service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Mountain View Mennonite Church by the Rev. Stan Shirk, the Rev. Richard Showalter and the Rev. Charles Ramsey. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Dr. Dennis Hatter, Kelley Coffey, Sonny Stein, Jess Meadows, Caleb Glick, Joe Harmon, Dean Hatter and Ed Clements.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harry DeVore, Jess Bridge, Steve Bridge, Bobby Mays, Allen Swarey, Donald Wright, Leslie Bridge, Daniel Hatter, Gordon Patterson and members of Waynesboro First Aid Crew.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 this evening in the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of Mountain View Mennonite Church.
