Polly had an older brother James and several younger siblings: Christiana, Catherine, William, Abraham, Daniel, Elizabeth, Rachel and Henry.
She married Daniel Welty (her first cousin, his father Peter and Polly's mother Fanny were siblings) on September 28, 1807 in Warren County, Kentucky. Together they had at least twelve children: John (b. 1808), Hosea (b. 1810), Mahala (b. 1813), Daniel, Levi, Henry (b. around 1818 to 1823), Frances (b. 1822), Steven (b. 1825), Elizabeth (b. 1829), Anson (b. 1830), Nancy (b. 1833) and Wiley (b. around 1825 to 1835). (Dates given are approximate.)
By 1813 Polly was living in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri. From 1813 to 1833 she was probably living in White Water and in 1848 she was probably living in Apple Creek Township. In her later years she moved in with her son Levi.
