She was born April 28, 1899, in Mount Solon, a daughter of the late Clemmie and Nannie Huffer Harmon.
She had worked for Genesco Grief and Co., and worked at Southern Department Store in Waynesboro as a seamstress.
She was a member of Sherando United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Homer Clifton Reed, Hugh Ingram and James Campbell; a son, Waldon Reed; a daughter, Helen R. Suddarth, on March 22, 1993; three brothers, Tom, Jack and Bill Harmon; and a sister, Grace Wicheal.
She is survived by three granddaughters, Mrs. Olin (Sandra) Shank of Mount Solon, Bonita Machaldo of Daytona, Fla., and Mrs. Ron (Theresa LaVon) Grant of Fort Myers, Fla., whom she raised.
She is also survived by a grandson, Waldon Reed Jr. of Nebraska; a beloved granddaughter, Brenda Carter of Waynesboro; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She also leaves behind a special friend, Norman Anderson.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home by Pastors Gene and Linda Arey. Burial will follow at Sherando United Methodist Church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be John Lee Huffer, Danny Carter, Roger "Bud" Carter, Danny Davis and Homer Painter.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.
