CHARLOTTESVILLE, Jan. 28—Mrs. Joanna Via Hutcherson, wife of William J. Hutcherson, of the Old Lynchburg Road, died at 4:25 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the University Hospital, following a brief illness.
She was a native of Albemarle County, daughter of the late William and Susie Carver Via, and was 47 years of age. Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Thacker, of this city, and Misses Nealie and six sons, William D. Hutcherson, of Sparrows Point, Md., and Winfred C., Ross F., Gilbert G., Clinton and Willie Hutcherson, all of this city. There are seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Hutcherson also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Lena Ross, of Staunton, and Mrs. Mary Thurston and Mrs. Bessie Via, of Crozet, and four brothers, Billy, Dewey, Claude and Dan Via, all of Crozet.
The funeral will be held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon from the Crozet Methodist Church, the service to be conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Raymond F. Wrenn. Interment will follow in Rock Gate Cemetery, Crozet.
