HOLTON -- Ella Bareiss, 91, Holton, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at a Holton nursing home.
She was born May 24, 1909, in Mayetta, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Thiele Havekorst. She graduated from Holton High School and was a lifelong Holton resident.
Mrs. Bareiss was a member of the Evangel United Methodist Church, and the Faith Circle of the Church, and she was a former member of the Pleasant Grove Ladies Aide.
She married Percy B. Bareiss on Feb. 1, 1930, at Whiting. He died March 22, 1972.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Mrs. Bareiss will lie in state at the funeral home from noon to 8:30 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, and sent in care of the funeral home.
