Civil War Soldier; PVT, Co. E, Lewis' Battallion, Alabama Cavalry; Enlisted 1 May 1863 Blountsville, AL; 1 May 1864 appt'd Commissary Sgt by Maj. Thomas E. Lewis; 1 Jul 31 - Aug 1864 muster roll - pd. for horse, 40 cents per day/$72; 4 May 1865 - POW - surrender of Co. E at Citronelle, AL & paroled at Gainesville, AL same day.

Robert L. Ingram, minister and land promoter; 1835-1897; son of Council Brewton and Sara Bostic Ingram of Manchester, Tennessee. The family moved to Blount County. His first marriage was to Jane Isabella Baker. Their children were Mary, Martha, Sara Adelia, Boswell, and Eugene. His second marriage was to Naomi Elizabeth Lea, daughter of Rev Benjamin Franklin Lea. Their children were were Pearl, Benjamin L., Paul, and Osmond Kelly Ingram. He served in the Confederate Army and was buried in Shiloh Cemetery.
