Professional Football Player. For six seasons (1965 to 1970), he played at the quarterback position in the American & National Football Leagues with the San Diego Chargers and Denver Broncos. Born Stephen Michael Tensi, he made his initial impression on the football field at Elder High School in Ohio and distinguished himself when he achieve All-City honors. He played collegiate football at Florida State University, while earning his degree in Industrial Arts and a minor degree in Physical Education. Selected by the San Diego Chargers during the 4th round of the 1965 AFL Draft, he totaled 56 career regular season AFL & NFL games. After retiring from football, he served as an assistant coach with the Chicago Fire in the World Football League and later worked in the carpentry and construction industry.
