Following is Cecil's obituary. There are a couple of mistakes. Merle Green is listed as his sister, she isn't. Also they put his middle initial as "L." He didn't have a middle initial as when he was born, they couldn't think of a name that went with "Cecil." That's what I was told anyway. :) His 2nd son does have the middle initial though....Cecil LeRoy, but we call him Roy.

Memories from when I was little: I have to say that my grandpa spoiled me.:) He would take care of people's yards & he would sometimes take me along. I would wait in the pick up for him. I was really little, so I only remember some things. He would drive by the elementary school with me & say "there's my girl's school." So I had to be about 4 at the time & getting ready to start Kindergarten. I was allergic to eggs & he was babysitting me one time & I LOVED fried eggs!! I could have one, but that's it. Well I wanted more...so he kept fixing them for me.lol I don't know how many I had, but the next morning, my face was so swollen you couldn't see my eyes. Had to go to the hospital to get shots. Another time, when he & my grandma Josephine were living in Colorado Springs, he said that we should walk down to the park & meet my grandma who would be walking home from her job at Woolsworth. It was the park by the horse statue in the middle of the street. We had somehow missed my grandma & she had to walk all the way back to find us. She was NOT happy.lol He had a huge impact on my life & though he died when I was 8, I miss him a lot.

Also before he married my grandma & he was still in Missouri (he was born in the Sparta area), he got drunk one night & had married a woman named Grace. The marriage was annulled. If anyone has any information on this, please let me know.

I probably wasn't supposed to put that last part...but I was just curious. :)

Love you Grandpa, Tammy
