Paul B. Scrogum Of Summum Dies

Paul B. Scrogum, 75, of Summum, died at 7:08 p.m. Monday, Apr. 19, 1982, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

He was born Feb. 11, 1907, in Pleasant Twp., a son of Benjamin S. and Etta (Carter) Scrogum. He married Ruby M. Davis on Nov. 22, 1930, in Vermont. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Benjamin Scrogum of Lewistown and James D. Scrogum of Dunfries, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Stremmel of Canton and Mrs. Carol Ann Shaw of rural Astoria; 23 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Easley and Miss Florence Scrogum, both of rural Astoria.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

Mr. Scrogum was a machinist at International Harvester before retiring.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Roger Koster officiating. Burial will be in the Summum Cemetery.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Shawgo's. Contributions may be made to the Summum Christian Church in his memory.
