Religious Figure. LDS church leader, author, and wife of LDS apostle Jeffrey R. Holland.

She attended Dixie High School, where she met her husband, who she dated before he served a proselyting mission in England. The two were married in the St George Temple in 1963. They had three children together. She studied at LDS Business College (now Ensign College), Dixie College (now Utah Tech University), and The Juilliard School.

In 1984, she was called as counselor in the Young Women General Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was released two years later to fulfill obligations at BYU, where her husband was then president. She spent much of her adult life travelling the world with her husband on church assignments.

She authored several books, including A Quiet Heart, which won the Association for Mormon Letters Award for devotional literature in 2000. In 2012, she received the "Distinguished Alumnus Award" from LDSBC for her contributions to the family, her church, and community.
