Thomas W. BLISS, 70 years old, a barrister of more than 40 years standing, died at Richibucto (Kent Co.) on 17th inst. The deceased had filled the local office of registrar of probates and more recently of stipendiary magistrate. In his early life, Mr. Bliss was an advocate of temperance. In the local Masonic society, Lodge St. Andrews, he was secretary for a quarter of a century or more. Like his brother, the late clerk of the house of assembly, Mr. Bliss died suddenly. On Thursday night at 9 o'clock he was stricken with apoplexy and he died at 11. Mr. Bliss was a widower. His wife, who was a Miss TAYLOR of Fredericton, died some years ago. He leaves three sons, two of whom live in Kent, and the third is somewhere in the West.

Thomas Wetmore Bliss, of Richibucto, Kent County, New Brunswick, attorney and barrister, (son of Hon. George Pidgeon Bliss, Receiver General, of New Brunswick, and Sarah, daughter of the Hon. Thomas Wetmore, Attorner General of that Province.) was born at Fredericton, NB, May 24, 1821 and married August 20, 1851, to Sarah Jane Taylor, third daughter of William Taylor, Esq., (formerly of the firm of James Taylor, Sen. & Co.,) a Justice of the Peace and Corner, and M.P.P., for the County of York. She was b. at Fredericton, July 17, 1830, and d. at Richibucto, July 1, 1870.
