Songwriter. He was born Nguyễn Thiên Lộc in Mỹ Hòa. He moved to Saigon to start his music career and following the success of "Đò Chiều," he went on to write more than 50 songs. He wrote hits such as "Nửa Đêm Ngoài Phố," "Buồn Trong Kỷ Niệm," "24 Giờ Phép," "Chiều Cuối Tuần," "Chuyện Chúng Minh," "Đêm Tâm Sự," "Thói Đời," "Mưa Nửa Đêm," "Tàu Đêm Năm Cũ," "Hai Chuyến Tàu Đêm," and "Con Đường Mang Tên Em." Some of his songs were recorded by famous Vietnamese singers such as Chế Linh, Hoàng Oanh, Duy Khánh, and Thanh Thúy, with whom he worked. Following the reunification of Vietnam, he was placed in a re-education camp and after being released, he returned to his hometown and continued his music career. Due to health issues, he wrote and completed "Xin Cám Ơn Đời" six months before his death. Nineteen years after his death, Asia Productions released "Asia 74" as a tribute to his career and life.
