Companion of royalty. Born as Tatara Yuling, also known as Noble Consort Mingxian, was a concubine of the last Chinese emperor, Puyi. She was born into the Tatara Clan from her father Zhaoxu while her mother was a Korean courtesan named Lady Ok. In 1937 she was chosen to become Puyi's Concubine while she was in middle school. After her marriage to Puyi, they become rather close to the point where she was preferred over the Empress Wanrong. In 1942 it was highly speculated that she was killed by the Japanese by poison injection while being treated for her cystitis due to her distaste for the Japanese for manipulating Puyi. After her death, Puyi kept a photo of Yuling that said "My dearest Yuling" until his death in 1967.
