Military Figure. Higinio Aguilar Camarillo was a prominent Mexican soldier known for his participation in the French Intervention in Mexico and the Mexican Revolution. Incorporated into the ranks of the Liberals in 1861, Higinio followed a career in arms, participating in the battles of Miahuatlán and La Carbonera; intervened in the battle of April 2, 1867, three times saved the life of General Porfirio Díaz and became Brigadier General in 1909. He had an active participation in the Mexican Revolution, fighting the Maderista army, revolting against the government of Francisco I. Madero together with Gaudencio de la Llave and had an active participation against the constitutionalist movement, as a prominent member of the Huertista Federal Army.
