Professional Basketball Player. She was the first great player of the Italian basket ball. She was part of the legendary team of the Canottieri Milano with which she won two championships in 1933 and 1935. She moved to Ambrosiana Inter from 1936 to 1939, she won another Italian absolute title. She ended her competitive career in Bernocchi Legnano. With the Italian national team she triumphed at the 1938 European championships. On that occasion Italy lost the initial match with Lithuania 23 to 21, in which Nerina scored six points, then beat Poland 27 to 19 with two points of Nerina, humiliated Switzerland 59 to 8 with six points from Nerina and defeated France 34 to 18 with four points from Bertolini. Nerina Bertolini was awarded the silver medal for athletic valor by Coni in 1938 and bronze in 1934, 1935, 1936, 1937 and 1939. In the early 1950s she married Giorgio Pauly, a Milanese engineer, and moved with him in Buenos Aires, where she lives until her death.
