Journalist. Alfred Bablot D'Olbreusse was a Mexican journalist and musician of French origin, noted for being the founder in 1850 of the newspaper "El Daguerreotipo", which later became "El Telégrafo" and his legacy in Mexican music education. In addition to being a distinguished journalist and writer, Alfred arrived in Mexico working for the singer Anna Bishop in 1849 and stood out for his role in direction and collaboration in some of the newspapers of the time, among which his musical criticism and his work in the beginning of investigative journalism in Mexico stands out. In 1881 he was became the director of the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City, where he introduced a new curriculum, the orchestra, and promoted the purchase of musical instruments in the city.
