Composer and Violinist. After WWI, he showed extraordinary musical talent as a child and gave concerts in many European countries, except Czechoslovakia, where he performed only after 12 years in 1956. He showed the first proof of his talent to his parents by playing the tin violin that his father had bought for him. After that, his father started teaching him and later decided to entrust him to Professor Jan Mařák, an excellent violinist and pedagogue. Váša made great progress under Mařák's leadership. Already at the age of twelve, he undertook a concert tour of several Czech cities. In 1915, he performed three concerts in the Smetana Hall Municipal building of the capital city of Prague. Two of them were with the Czech Philharmonic. In 1960, he reported serious health problems. He suffered a heart attack and died in a hospital in Vienna on Tuesday, July 26, 1960, where he was formerly buried. Before his death, he donated a Camposelice violin from 1710 by Antonio Stradivari to the Czechoslovak state. In the middle of 2013, his family grave in Vienna was destined to be demolished. Due to the considerate efforts of the Váši Příhody Institute, it was prevented and the family's remains were reinterred in his birthplace on June 2016.
