First Lady. She was the First Lady of the Dominican Republic from August 16, 2000 until August 16, 2004. Her husband was President Hipólito Mejía the 51st President of the Dominican Republic. She was the very first woman to serve in this position as it was not created until September 10, 2000. As the First Lady, she helped to establish the Trampoline Children's Museum that opened in 2004.
