The Gloucestershire Echo (Cheltenham, England), May 13, 1902:
"FUNERAL -- The funeral of Viscount Frankfort de Montmorency took place on Monday in the village churchyard at Dewlish, Dorset. The body arrived from London on Saturday, being met at the Dorchester Station by a gun carriage of Royal Horse Artillery from the battery stationed at Dorchester and conveyed to Dewlish House, the home of Lady Frankfort de Montmorency. The ceremony was very simple. The dody was conveyed from the house to the churchyard on the carriage with an escort of artillerymen. The coffin, which was covered with the Union Jack, on which were placed the late nobleman's hat and sword, was borne to the grave by eight senior non-commissioned officers of Lord Frankfort's old regiment, the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry. The principal mourners were Lady Frankfort (widow) and her two daughters, Colonel and Mrs. Beckett, and Major Michel. A number of distinguished military officers followed the coffin. There was a large gathering of tenantry and servants of the Dewlish estate."
