Bishop of Narbonne. He is venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church. He was born in Montauban, into a noble family. He studied and later embraced religious life to become a subdeacon at the Council of Tolosa. He was later secretary to Bishop Sigebutus of Narbonne (973-855), and was raised to archdeacon; He was in charge of various missions. He was consecrated as a bishop on August 15, 885 , after the death of Sigebuto. The following year, in Rome, Pope Stephen VI awarded him the bishop's pallium. He tried to protect and restore the diocese devastated by Saracen attacks, but the Saracens continued his expeditions, taking prisoners with them. He restored the city's cathedral and freed many Christian captives.

Gravesite Details
Initially buried in The Montauriol Abbey. However the Église Saint-Théodard de Villebrumier contains the relics of Saint Théodard.
