Thoroughbred Race Horse. He was best known as the winner of the 2021 Kentucky Derby. He was sired by multiple graded stakes winner Protonico and his mother was Mongolian Changa. He was purchased by Amr Zedan in July of 2019 and later sent into training with famed trainer Bob Baffert. He won his first race in December 2020 at Los Alamitos Race Course. At the start of 2021, he qualified for the Kentucky Derby by winning the Robert B. Lewis Stakes and coming in second in both the San Felipe Stakes and Santa Anita Derby. He won the 2021 Kentucky Derby with jockey John Velazquez aboard to complete the first part of the Triple Crown, but missed out on horse racing's grand prize by coming in third at the Preakness Stakes. A few days after Preakness, he was banned from participating the Belmont Stakes by the New York racing officials for drug violations. He would later win the Shared Belief Stakes and Awesome Again Stakes, before coming second in the Breeders' Cup Classic. He passed away following a five furlong workout at Santa Anita Park.
