Jean K (Couchman) Lujan, age 91, of Albuquerque, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021, with family by her side. She was born to the late Frey Alegra (Greenwood) and Thomas George Couchman, May 4, 1930, in Niles, Ohio.

Jean graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1948. She married the late Jose "Manuel" Lujan Jr in 1948, (Presidential Cabinet Secretary, US Congressman); and they lived together in Santa Fe; Albuquerque; Cheverly, MD; Annondale, VA; and Alexandria, VA, before returning to Albuquerque.

Jean was a talented artist and loving mother and grandmother. She was quick witted, sassy, stylish, always ready with a smile, and enjoyed traveling on new adventures.

Jean was kind and compassionate, with a ready ear and a shoulder to lean on. She lived by the passage "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35) and will be remembered fondly by all that were fortunate to know her.

Jean was predeceased by: her loving husband of over 70 years in 2019; and son, James "Jay" Lujan, (129133457) of Albuquerque in 2014.

Jean is survived by four children: Terra Everett, of Albuquerque; Barbara Lujan, of Coleman, TX; Robert "Jeff" Lujan, of Albuquerque; and Noah Lujan, of Albuquerque; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
