Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Village Chapel for Bro. Earnest Campbell, 82, of Altoona, who passed away Friday, January 1, 2021. Joe Wise, Johnny Fry, and Eddie Simmons will officiate. Burial will follow at New Welcome Cemetery, Egypt.
Earnest served as a pastor for over 52 years at numerous churches and ministered to a lot of people. He was always faithful and loved God above all things.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Grace Campbell; sisters, Lucille Minshew, Sue Minshew, Rene Walker, and Nell Walker; brothers, Morris Campbell and Floyd Campbell.
Earnest is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sue Campbell; daughter, Regina (Jeff) Wiggins; grandson, Joshua (Lindsay) Wiggins; great-grandson, Zachary Wiggins; soon-to-be great-granddaughter, Zoey Wiggins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
His nephews will serve as pallbearers. Special thanks to Dr. Debora Reiland.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday.
