Announcer, Journalist, Singer, Actress, Composer. Lourdes Anaya Quintana, better known as Lourdes Montaner, graduated from the University of La Havana with a doctorate in Pedagogy. In 1959 she arrived in exile in Miami but before, she had already been recognized as a composer for her song "El baile de Chucu-chu" performed by Los Rivero. In the first years of exile, she worked as a private teacher, until she began write about entertainment and art in different newspapers. In 1969 and 1984 she founded the newspapers El Triunfo and Miami Social, respectively, with her husband Ernesto Montaner. She acted in the telenovelas "Marielena," "Guadalupe" and "Más allá del puente," as well as in theather and singer in zarzuelas, including "La verbena de la Paloma," "No hay novedad," and "Señora baronesa." She is also remembered for her radio shows "El Show de Meme Solís," "Artistilandia," and "El Show de Lourdes y Ernesto Montaner."
