HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - Justus G. Hale, 80, died March 12, 1980, at Memorial Hospital, Hollywood, Fla. He was formerly a resident of Sycamore. He was born Nov. 21, 1899, in Willisburg, Ky., the son of Samuel and Athenia (Masters) Hale. He was a member of the DeKalb Elks No. 765, the DeKalb Masonic Lodge No. 144, and the Salem Lutheran Church, Sycamore. He married Ellen Kallman on Jan. 19, 1921, in Sycamore.

Survivors include one son, Charles Hale, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one daughter, Joyce Hofacker, Hollywood, Fla.; four grandchildren; three sisters, Lillie Pinkston, DeKalb, Lucie Graham, Plymouth, Iowa, and Faye Dearth, Rockford; one brother,-William Hale, Harvard. He was preceded in death by one son, Roger, in 1955, his wife, Ellen, in 1971, his parents, five brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Salem Lutheran Church, Sycamore, with the Rev. William E. Kmet officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery, DeKalb. Friends may call from 7- 9 p.m. Friday at the Van Natta Funeral Home.
