Military Figure. Lieutenant Abelardo Carranza Strasburger was a Mexican military man who participated in the Mexican Revolution. He was the sixth child of Jesús Carranza Garza and Florencia Strasburger. Due to campaign merits, he became Lieutenant of his father's General Staff. He was shot with his father at the Xamboan ranch in Oaxaca by Alfonso Santibáñez on January 11, 1915 while he was carrying out orders from his uncle Venustiano Carranza to enforce the Treaties of Teoloyucan before the imminent revolutionary triumph against the Huertista troops.
