Services will be Sunday for Ruth Carole "R.C," West Sherbourne of Aptos, who died March 9 at the Hospice of Monterey. She was 65.

A native of Minneapolis, she lived in Santa Cruz County for the past 30 years after moving from Palo Alto. She spent the past 20 years in Aptos. She was an active member of the auxiliary to the Palo Alto Crippled Children's Society. She worked with the Miss California Pageant and was a former Conover model in New York. She also served on the Santa Cruz grand jury.

She is survived by her daughter, Lane Nomellini; her sons Drew Nomellini and Lincoln West; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Kim Nomellini.

Memorial services will be Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at the Chapel of the Four Seasons, 1050 Cayuga St., Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz Cremation Service will be handling the arrangements. Contributions are preferred to the Hospice Caring Project, 6851 Soquel Drive, Aptos, Calif. 95003 or the Hospice House, 100 Barnet Segal Lane, Monterey, Calif. 93940.
