Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in White's Chapel for Kim Benson Nomellini, 22, of Santa Cruz, who died Thursday night in a boat accident off Pleasure Point.

A native of Minnesota, he came to Palo Alto in 1952, living there until moving to Santa Cruz in 1964. He was a graduate of Branciforte Jr. High School and Santa Cruz High School where he played football. Nomellini was a student at Cabrillo College where he was a fine arts major. He was also a member of the Save Lighthouse Point Committee and a guitar player for the Westside Raiders.

Surviving him are his father, Leo Nomellini of Palo Alto; his mother, Ruth Carol Sherbourne of Aptos; a sister, Layne Molinaro of Santa Cruz; two brothers, Drew Nomellini of Palo Alto and Lincoln West of Aptos; his paternal grandmother, Julia P. Nomellini of Palo Alto, and three aunts.

Interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Park.
