He was married to Mitzi Fletcher, the daughter of Mack Fletcher and Mary Elizabeth ( -- ) Fletcher.
Serving in the US Army, he was a highly decorative veteran. In civilian life he was a full-time farmer, which he loved, and he also enjoyed hunting, spending time with his grandkids, his cattle and his dogs. He was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church.
Living in Ashland City, Charles was 71 years old when he passed away at home on November 6, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Charles Conroy "Chuck" Head Jr, brother Kenneth Wayne Head and by his sister Patricia Sue "Pat" (Head) Summitt. Survivors included his widow, a married daughter, married brother, sister, another Head sister-in-law, as well as a Bryant sister-in-law and a Fletcher sister-in-law, nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View, and burial was in Head Family Cemetery in Chapmansboro Community.
