Norwegian Actress. Daughter of actors' August Schønemann (1891–1925) and Dagmar Kristensen (1901–1987). Married to actor Jan Pande-Rolfsen from 1948. Being both a dramatic actress as well as a world class comedienne, she became one of Norway's most beloved entertainer. Made her debut on stage in 1942 and went on to become a versatile performer. She holds the Norwegian record for most film appearances by an actress, close to fifty in total. She starred as Lily Hansen in the farce "Busybody" ("Skulle det dukke opp flere lik er det bare å ringe"). The part won her the Norwegian Critic's Award in 1969 and resulted in a film version in 1970. She was memorable as Valborg, the wife of criminal Kjell, in 14 crime-comedies "Olsenbanden" from 1968 to 1999. Fondly remembered as Modern (Mom) in "Fleksnes fataliteter" (1973), the most popular sitcom in Scandinavian history. Received a Knighthood, First Class of the Order of St. Olav (highest order in Norway). She suffered a brain stroke in 2003, the year after her husband died. After this she was somewhat reduced and stayed out of the media. She died quietly at the nursing home "Uranienborghjemmet" and was burried at Vestre Gravlund, Oslo.
