Wallace Ray Larsen, age 83, passed from this earth after a brief illness on May 26, 2007. He was born October 10, 1923 to Hyrum Smith and Dora Acord Larsen. He was the last of eleven children. He resided in the Salt Lake City area his entire life. He served in the United States Coast Guard from October 1942 until June 1943 when he was honorably discharged due to an injury that took the sight from his right eye. Married Edith Marie Blue (divorced), Colleen H. Larsen (divorced) and Bonnie Anderson (divorced). His passions included following football, basketball and baseball, and was especially fond of BYU football and the Utah Jazz. He enjoyed playing cards, board games and watching Matlock. Survived by children: Cary Larsen, Christine Daly, Connie Ensign, Corinne (Rodney) Walker and Kay Lynne (Dave) Ferrin; grandchildren: Tanya (Steve) Daly, Mathew (Cindy) Walker, Martina (Jason) Walker, Cole Ensign, KJ Daly, Cameron Ensign, Branden Ferrin and Caden Ferrin; five great grandchildren and his brother Ike. Preceded in death by infant sons Rand and Wallace; parents and his siblings. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 31, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue and 'N' Street. Directors - McDougal Funeral Home.
