Editha “Dita” Neri Abillar of Sacramento, California passed away on December 22, 2018 after battling an illness. She was 72 years old. Editha was born August 8, 1946 in Manila, Philippines. Editha was the daughter of Florencio and the late Magdalena Neri of Princeton. She graduated with a nursing degree from St. Catherine’s School of Nursing in Manila. She lived in West Virginia for 12 years before moving to Sacramento, California. Editha and her family were members of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in California. She loved all the simple things in life especially Filipino soap operas and scented candles. She enjoyed reading mystery novels and had a deep love for animals, especially puppies. Her family and grandchildren were the most important things in her life and she was so excited for her newest grandchild to arrive. Surviving are her husband to who she was happily married to for 44 years, Albert Abillar; Two sons, Edilbert Abillar and wife Tanny of Carlsbad, CA, and their two children, Arrow and Ever; Allan Abillar and wife Katherine of Brooklyn, NY who are expecting their first child, Madeline; Her father, Florencio Neri, Sr., and wife Delia of Princeton; One brother, Dr. Jun Neri and wife Shelby, of Princeton. A Christian Burial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 507 Harrison Street, Princeton with Father Sebastian Devasya, Father Greg Lyttle and Father Manuel Gilido as celebrants. Inurnment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens on Courthouse Road in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the church. The Abillar family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
