The daughter of Charles Whitmore ( 1862-1930) and Fannie Jeffries (1869-1905), and the wife of John Sidney Burnett (1891-1956). Tessie and John were married 13 Jan 1918 in Alamance County. To their union were born nine children: Robert, Charlie, Atwell, Annie, Delores Delevia, Harry, Johnny and Kermit. According to the NCDC she died of cancer of the stomach.
