Musician. He was best known as the longtime keyboardist for the American rock band The Black Crowes. During the recording of the group's sophomore studio album, he filled the role previously occupied by famed session musician Chuck Leavell. After being hired as a permanent member of the group in 1991, he continued performing on the band's next four studio albums before departing in 2002. Most recently he had joined three former Black Crowes band mates in forming the rock group, The Magpie Salute. He passed away suddenly in his native Toronto.
