THOMAS JR first appeared in court records in colonial North Carolina (in the Chowan Precinct) on (10 Oct 1720) when he witnessed a deed between John Dickinson and Moses Carter for 210 acres on the north side of Cattawaskey meadow. Just days later, on (14 Oct 1720), Thomas Jr. ( whose surname was recorded as Futrall at that time) also bought 100 acres on Urahaw Swamp from James Bryant, Jr. and Sarah Bryant - this is where Thomas operated a gristmill on Potecasi Creek (present day Northampton County, NC.) THOMAS JR. is also believed to be the son of Thomas Futerell and his wife Gilian 'Jarrell' although there is currently no known documented proof that they are (however overwhelming circumstantial evidence suggest that they are.)

NOTE:
THOMAS JR. was the husband of ANN; and as to Ann, she was named in a deed when they sold a 100 acre tract of land on Urahaw Swamp in Bertie County, Northampton Precinct, North Carolina (present day Northampton County, NC) to Joel Newsum in 1741 (Thomas Jr's surname was recorded as Futrill on the deed.)

THOMAS JR and his wife ANN are believed to be the parents of BENJAMIN, THOMAS, JOHN, WILLIAM and JOSEPH (and even possibly others not presently known.)

ALSO:
THOMAS JR passed away in colonial Northampton County, North Carolina sometime between 1743 and 1748. It is unknown as to whether or not he had a Will.
