Robert A. Samuels age 63, longtime resident of Valencia, died March 21, 2006, after a long illness. He was,born on February 23, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. As a graduate of Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California, Bob spent his professional career as a menswear buyer and small business owner. In his retirement, Bob was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast, and most enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Claire; daughter, Michele and her husband James Haynes; son, Jeffrey Samuels and his wife Karen; daughter, Nicole and her husband Jeremy Shapiro; grandchildren, Kayla, Ethan, Lauren, Robby, Jackson, and Ryan. He was brother to Marjorie Yost and brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many more. Private services will be held in San Francisco. Bob is missed by his family and friends; he will be remembered as a loving, funny, and honorable man.
