British Comedian/Actor/Singer. Estelle is best remembered for his role as 'Gunner "Lofty" Sugden' on the television series "It Ain't Half Hot Mum" from 1974 to 1981. He also appeared in the films "Santa Claus" (1985), "A Private Function" (1984), and "The Beggar's Opera" (1983), among many others. He also made television guest appearances including "The League Of Gentlemen," "The Benny Hill Show," and "Top Of The Pops." In 1975 he recorded the single "Whispering Grass," a duet with Windsor Davies, and an album entitled "Sing Lofty." In 1999, Estelle released his autobiography, "Thoughts Of A Gemini."
