Born Sept. 22, 1915, in Kansas, Mrs. Carter had lived in the area since 1948. She loved dancing and traveling and played several musical instruments.
Survivors include two daughters, Afton Carter of Portland and Addie L. Corriveau of Vancouver; one son, Jerry L. White of Vancouver; one sister, Ella Greaves of Bremerton, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
