Services were conducted yesterday afternoon from Rigdon's undertaking parlors for John L. Goodell, who was shot and killed in Portland Thursday morning by A. B. Foster. Rev. H. N. Aldrich of Leslie Methodist church conducted the services and burial was in City View cemetery. The young man was born in Grants Pass. He was a nephew of Justice Henry L. Benson of the state supreme court, who made funeral arrangements. All of the immediate family of the young man are dead. Relatives of Portland and Salem attended the funeral.
