Born November 25, 1942, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Vernon Harold and Mary Elizabeth (Newman) Baker. She married Robert Lee Brown Jr. and they later divorced.
Darleen worked for Case, Burlington Northern, and the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant.
She was a member of St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church. She was also a member of AARP. She liked the TV show The Walking Dead, wolves, puzzles, loved all of her grand kids, loved playing with her grand dogs (Roadie being her favorite), spending time with her friends and family and talking on the phone with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, "Touchdown" Tony Baker and David Baker, and one grandson, Tyson Lee Johnson.
