ALICIA "ALICE" MARIA TERRY Y JIMENEZ was born on 22 Nov 1894 in the City of Santa Clara, Villa Clara Province, Cuba. Her parents are Jose Domingo Terry y Figueroa, born 20 Dec 1858 in Cienfuegos Province, Cuba and Teresa Jimenez, born about 1868 in Cuba. Alicia was the 2nd of three know children born to Jose and Teresa.

In Florida she met and married Bernard Leon Barker Sr around 1913.Bernard was a salesman and later Vice President of the Cuban Coal Co., Havana, Cuba.

Leon and Alicia had two children:

1. Alicia Jeanette Barker(21 Oct 1914,Ciego de Avila, Ciego de Avila Province, Cuba to 28 Aug 1987,Port Jefferson, Suffolk Co., NY. Alicia married John William Vogt (02 Apr 1917, Astoria, Queens Co., NY to 18 Oct 1967, Middletown, Orange Co., NY)

2. Bernard Leon Barker Jr. (17 Mar 1917, Havana, La Habana Province, Cuba to 05 Jun 2009,Miami, Miami-Dade Co., FL)

On 22 Sep 1927 Alicia "Alice" Maria Terry y Jimenez married William S Sanders, who had been born about 1883 in Pennsylvania. They were married in Brooklyn Borough, Kings Co.,New York City, NY

On 17 Apr 1930, when the Census was taken,William and Alicia Sanders were living at 11 Midwood St. Brooklyn, Kings Co., New York. Mr. Sander’s occupation is listed as Salesman. They had no known children.

When that Census was taken Alicia's sister "Cuca," and her two young sons were living with the Sanders. "Cuca" and her sons had fled the civil violence the spread across Cube in 1929.

After that 1930 Census entry, nothing more is know about William S Sanders. His wife Alicia Sander is thought to have passed away about 1957 in Bloomingburg, Sullivan Co., NY, but no official record of this has been found.
