Death of Mrs. Kizis
The sudden passing away of Mrs. Annie Kizis at the family home on Centre street yesterday morning occasioned much sorrow among a large circle of friends. Deceased had been ill for three weeks of diabetes but no alarm was felt until a couple of days ago when she grew worse and the end came yesterday morning at 6:45. She was the wife of Kassimer Kizis and mother of Undertaker Joseph Kizis. She was forty-seven years old. Her native home was in Russia but she had been a resident of Pittston for thirty-two years. She was a kind, lovable mother and was much esteemed in the neighborhood for her kindness among neighbors in sickness or distress. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Joseph, Charles, Anthony, John, Peter, Andrew, Alexander, Eva, Catherine, Mrs. W. Walangavage and Mrs. J. Gramas, all of this city, and Mrs. John Kilmavage of Jermyn; also by the following brothers and sisters: Andrew Walukas of this city, Michael Walukas of Russia, Mrs. Kirustis of Bridgeport, Conn. The funeral will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock, with a requiem mass in St. Cazimer's Church, and interment in St. Cazimer's Cemetery.
